Wayne first arrived in Sarasota in the mid 1980’s with the band Traveler. They opened up for Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels at the infamous Playground South. He fell in love with the area and upon “getting off the road”, decided to make Sarasota his place of residence. As a single act, Wayne also opened for Firefall at the same location, Playground South. Throughout the course of his music career and within different band configurations, he’s shared the stage with many other well-known groups including; Rare Earth, Wet Willie, The Gregg Allman Band, Black Oak Arkansas, Iron Butterfly, Dixie Dregs, Canned Heat, LeRoux, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Nantucket, Mother’s Finest, Stillwater, Doc Holliday, Papa John Creech, Ambrosia, Kenny Rogers and Pat Travers.
